Apple New iPad 2024 Launch – New Date Rumored

The launch of the new Apple iPad for 2024 is a the 7th generation iPad Pro promises to offer significant updates but has been pushed back. Originally, it was expected to come out on March 26th, but now it seems like we might have to wait until the first or second week of April. Many people were anticipating its release in March because it's been due for an update since 2022.

The latest iPad, known as the iPad 10, has been updated, but the updates for the iPad Pro and iPad Air are still pending. In 2022, the entry-level iPad underwent a significant design change, featuring a new screen, a landscape camera mode, and a USB-C port. Unlike iPhones and Apple Watches, which get updates every year, iPads and Macs don't follow the same pattern of frequent updates.

Rumours are swirling about the new iPad having a landscape orientation and a front-facing camera, which would be a first for Apple. Last week, there was speculation that Apple had started shipping the iPad Air to many countries from its manufacturing hub in China, planning to launch it alongside the iPad Pro. However, that's not the case. There were also reports of new cases and accessories. However, top-rated Apple analyst Mark Gurman took to Twitter to share the rumours, stating that it's not true that Apple will announce new iPads on the 26th of March.

Upgrades to 2024 iPad Pro & Air might be include below:

  • New M3 Chipset: Expect a boost in power and performance compared to the current M2 processor.
  • OLED Screen and Brighter Display: A more vibrant display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, made by LG and Samsung.
  • Improved Camera Setup: Look out for Face ID in landscape orientation and possibly Touch ID as well.
  • Bigger Battery: With optimization from the M3 chipset, anticipate superb performance and longer battery life.
  • Larger Screen: The 13-inch model may feature thinner bezels for a sleeker look.
  • Upgraded Magic Keyboard: A redesigned keyboard case could be in store for better typing experience.
  • Apple Pencil 3 Support: Expect better compatibility and features for the Apple Pencil.
  • Wireless Charging with MagSafe: The convenience of wireless charging technology with iPad currently that exists with iPhone 13, iPhone 14, & iPhone 15 models
  • Increased Storage Options: Up to 4TB of storage could be available, starting from 128GB.
  • More RAM: Get ready for enhanced multitasking capabilities with increased RAM capacity.
  • New Glass Body: A sleeker design might be on the cards for a lighter device and support magsafe.
  • Slimmer Bezels and Dynamic Island: Possible design changes similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
  • Competitive Pricing: Prices are expected to start around $1,500 and $1,800, making it a premium product.
  • New Accessories: Look out for accessories like a new Magic Keyboard with a bigger trackpad and various cases and covers, possibly in aluminum.
  • iPad Air with M3 Chipset: Similar to the MacBook Air, iPad air might also get an upgrade with the new M3 chipset and a larger screen.

I'm really excited about getting my hands on this new device and evening buying one pro specs iPad, but I'm getting tired of hearing about delays. It's frustrating sometimes because I want to plan ahead, but without a clear release or announcement from Apple, it's hard to make decisions. If it doesn't come out in April as expected, I might consider switching to a Samsung tablet instead of sticking with Apple echo system.
